Photo Sea Urchin (Echinopsis) Cactus and Flower Cherry Valley California

This spectacular flower caught me by surprise. I was unaware of what this cactus was called until this gorgeous bloom seemingly came out of nowhere. It lasted only a few days and then quickly withered away. I "Googled" it and discovered it was called a "Sea Urchin" cactus or "Echinopsis." I captured this photo in my own garden in Cherry Valley, California.
